To enter the 2017 Awards you must be a financial full member of AILDM.
Non members and Friends of AILDM cannot enter the National Landscape Design Awards.
All plans, photographs and other material must be submitted to the National Administrator by 5pm Friday 26 May 2017.
Either the principal of that office must be an AILDM member, or the office must have a business membership for a design office to enter the AILDM Landscape Design Awards. All major design contributors from your company must be acknowledged on the entry form, and will be recognised at the presentation evening if your entry wins. A winning award will have your company's name on it.
If an employee of a design office enters the awards independently then they must have been the only contributor to the design and documentation of the entry. The employee must also be an AILDM member. A winning award will have the name of the member on it
Your name, business name or any identifying logos and title blocks MUST NOT be on your plans or photographs.
The only identifying mark on your submitted material should be your AILDM membership number.
The only exception to this is the client permission form which will be held separately by the AILDM Administrator
The following are essential entry items, helping the judges to understand the site and the design. As judging will be made solely on the basis of submitted material, clarity and detail are important.
1. Documentation (all written documents should be PDF format)
2. All Entries to include a Scope of Works, including existing features and companies involved in the design process as well as construction, Site location, Date of design and installation .
3. Photographs (maximum of 8) to include:
Images must be supplied in JPEG format at 300 dpi, and to be minimum 3,500 pixels wide and a maximum 5,000 pixels wide. Images should be a minimum of 1MB, and no image should exceed 10MB in size.
Captions for each image must be provided in a separate sheet and must adhere to copyright and moral right laws.
Photographs to be of high resolution. Please make sure your photographs do not identify the applicant, including through truck or clothing signage. If your photographs have been taken by a photographer other than the entrant, please label them accordingly so we can acknowledge them correctly. AILDM is not responsible for crediting photographers if you do not supply this information.
4. Plans and drawings to clearly illustrate the design.
Note: Category 7, 12 and 13 may not include the plans and drawings listed above. A brief statement covering why these documents were not produced as part of the project should be included.
