Adrian Swain has been appointed as a Fellow of AILDM.
AILDM Fellowships are awarded to members who have given distinguished service to the profession of landscape design and management.
Adrian joined AILDM in 2003 and was elected to our National Council in 2007 taking on roles in marketing and our design competitions.
He quickly became a major contributor to the work of AILDM and was elected Vice-President in 2007. In 2009 he became the youngest person to be elected AILDM President, a position he held until 2011. He has continued to make a significant contribution to AILDM since this time as a member of our Membership Committee.
Adrian has demonstrated a commitment to AILDM and the growth of our industry. He has supported students and the work of AILDM to develop and maintain the professional standard of our membership and the landscape design industry. He has done this while building his own award winning business, ecodesign, and raising a young family.
Adrian is respected for his knowledge and professionalism and is a person whose counsel is valued by the AILDM Board and members.
Adrian was presented with his Fellowship at the AILDM awards presentation evening on 8 September by AILDM President Craig MacDonald.
